'Tooth be Told'

But it's 'Just a Cleaning'...

January 2, 2015

We hear that too many times a year.

Our office takes our patient's dental health seriously, therefore, we take our hygiene appointments seriously too.  Keeping up diligently with your child's dental cleanings at their dental home will:

  • Catch problems while they are small and uncomplicated.
  • Allow us to consistently reinforce brushing, flossing and diet.
  • Reinforce dentistry as a positive aspect of your child's health.
  • Reduce the risk of future dental problems.

It is a very important part of your child's overall health equation.

Our policies.

You have seen and heard them from us many times, maybe too many times, and we admit they are pretty strict, but for good reasons.  Our office has a long list of children waiting for appointments.  Some of these children have discomfort or pain.  When an appointment is broken we do not see it as losing money, we see it as a spot that an uncomfortable child could have taken.  Seeing every patient in need is very important to us.

Busy Schedules.

Many times a parent will call and want to cancel a cleaning appointment because it is during school hours.  A dental appointment is considered an excused absence, early dismissal or late arrival.  We understand school is very important but so is your child's dental health.  We will be happy to give you a school letter to excuse them for their visit.  And as always we will try to work with you to find the best appointment around your busy schedule.
